Bless the Lord, O My Soul Psalm 103
1 Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless his holy name!
You, O Lord, have allowed us to participate in translating Your Word for the past 41 years! We bless You!
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits:
You have given us brothers and sisters a hundredfold around this world.
3 who forgives all your iniquity,
Thank you for letting us repent in young adulthood and believe in Jesus for the forgiveness of our sins! And you continue to reveal to us our need for you day by day.
who heals all your diseases,
Lord, you have healed our family from many bouts of malaria, oncho, hepatitis, shistosomiasis, viral and bacterial diseases, blackwater fever, dengue, blood pressure issues, stroke, and other matters…thank you!
4 who redeems your life from the pit,
Despite distress and calamity, especially at the deaths of our brother Jonathan and son Thad, You O Lord have comforted us and brought us up from despair.
who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
During ethnic conflicts and weeks under arrest, Your mercy, Lord, was with us to encourage and strengthen us, and bring us out of captivity.
5 who satisfies you with good
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Despite economic collapse in our country of residence, You helped us eat and share with others when supplies were nearly non-existent. Thank You! And now You have provided a lovely home for us, a place of rest and rejuvenation.
15 As for man, his days are like grass;
he flourishes like a flower of the field;
16 for the wind passes over it, and it is gone,
and its place knows it no more.
Lord, You are the one directing us. May we continue to serve You in the days remaining to us.
17 But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him,
and his righteousness to children’s children,
18 to those who keep his covenant
and remember to do his commandments.
Thank You, Lord, for the ten children You have given us. Thank you for bringing those here on earth wonderful life partners, and for the nineteen grandchildren we have today!
19 The Lord has established his throne in the heavens,
and his kingdom rules over all.
May Your Word and eternal peace continue to spread throughout the world, and may Your joy be full in all your people.
20 Bless the Lord, O you his angels,
you mighty ones who do his word,
obeying the voice of his word!
21 Bless the Lord, all his hosts,
his ministers, who do his will!
22 Bless the Lord, all his works,
in all places of his dominion.
Bless the Lord, O my soul!
Thanks to all of you who prayed for our travels in South Asia this last two months and for our son Hiram’s wedding with Joyce.
Love and greetings,
Andy & Kate Ring
